They're using the added power to push more games towards 1080p, but other than that the graphics aren't really much better. Yeah, I'd define it as Wii-U 1.5 or 1.8, with twice the overall RAM. It's in between the Wii-U and the base PS4/XB1 as I expected given the form-factor. I wouldn't expect many PS4/XB1 ports going forward.
GTA 6's Will Likely Be A PS5 & Xbox Series X/S Console Exclusive. According to reliable GTA leaker Chris Klippel on Twitter, Rockstar is developing GTA 6 on its new RAGE engine, which is reported to be far more powerful than the current RAGE engine that powers GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, and their online modes.
Consensus seems to be that the PS4’s GPU was most comparable to AMD’s Radeon HD 7850 or 7870, midrange cards you could buy for as low as $140 and $170 at the time of the PS4’s launch. That
After all, the Xbox 360 and PS3 had strengths in particular games, but both platforms ended up in very similar positions in the end. For now, the PS4 retains a significant quality and speed

Wii was much better than GCN. But there was a limit to how much improvement you could showcase without HD. Also, the market wasn't one that demanded graphics in the way the PS3/360 market did, so not as many resources went into delivering that aspect for many developers. I think Twilight Princess showcases Wii's power over the Gamecube really well.
Looks to me like it's way more powerful than the PS4's CPU, bearing in mind that's only in peak theoretical performance, and maybe as powerful as an i7 from 2014 (which is still pretty impressive). Perhaps what van der Leeuw meant is that a modern Cell with higher clocks, more cache, and more SPEs would be more powerful than current Intel chips.
The overall CPU performance of PS4/Xbox One was roughly the same compared with PS3/Xbox 360 CPUs, it's not like developers found themselves with less CPU power than before. Once developers got to grips with the machines, they had no problem making games, some games even achieve 60 fps. Frame rate in general has been much better than the
Well, PS3 originals look better than their PS4 remasters, I have noticed that. I have Uncharted trilogy on PS4Pro, and the originals on PS3. And now that I have working PS3 again, I've been able to compare the visuals better. And yes, just as I suspected, the originals do look lot better.
To start with, it was crazy expensive for a console at the time. The 60GB model was US$599, and the 20GB model was US$499. Sure, superfans raved on and on about how much potential the PS3 had in terms of raw gaming power, but there just weren’t that many games available at release.
