Duramax Engine LLY 2004.5 to 2005. In terms of LLY injector problems, GM had sorted out the internal failures with the 2004 ½ redesign, but the LLY Duramax would occasionally exhibit a trouble code for the injectors, but in most cases it turned out to be an issue with the injector harness rubbing through and causing a short or open in the wiring. The voltage will be the same, about 12.6v with no load or charge, and about 13.6 to 14.5v when on charge. Find the location of the MAF sensor in your Focus, unplug the electrical connectors, and remove the sensor from the housing. Spray at least 10 spurts of MAF cleaner onto the sensor and then let it air dry for an hour or until completely dry. Do not use cloth or cotton swabs to clean the sensor, as it can damage it. I managed to get it going a couple times but when I did, as soon as I tried to rev the engine, the car cut out again and won't start.. So, AA Called and he found a few codes. The car starts and runs fine every turn of the key unless I get gas. Lately every time i get gas it starts then dies, I have to pump the pedal while starting the car and then slightly rev it up, put it in gear and leave. After a mile or 2 i can shut it off and it will start right back up. I've just changed the fuel filter on my MK6 Golf TDI but cannot get it to start now. It started up first time and then coughed and died. Now it won't start at all. I've tried using OBDeleven to fill the filter with no success.
